While the show has remained a CBS fixture for over a decade, its latest ratings pale in comparison to its former accomplishments, with the current season struggling to equal previous highs. Despite this setback, Blue Bloods remains one of CBS’s top primetime shows.

In contrast, CBS saw success with other Friday night dramas like SWAT and new series Fire Country, which outperformed competitors from rival networks. Fire Country, starring Max Thieriot, received its highest ratings since February, boding well for its recently announced second season. The enduring appeal of dramas on network television persists despite strong competition from streaming platforms.

Larry Manetti, Selleck’s old Magnum PI co-star, made a surprise appearance in this week’s show, which added to the excitement. Manetti’s portrayal of retired cop Sam Velucci breathed new life into the series, highlighting the two renowned actors’ long-standing friendship.

  1. I have moved TV provider and sad to say Blue Bloods isnt among the TV channels. This was for sure one of my favourite shows and it is missed.

  2. I doubt you will ever have a show as popular as Blue Bloods ! Yes there will be others with the chemistry of Blue Bloods.

  3. Your not going to have a show like Blue Bloods again. I haven’t missed an episode since tbe show started. CBS is making a tragic mistake taking this show off the air.

  4. I totally agree you guys are making a terrible mistake canceling blueblood. One of the best shows that’s real life wake up too .who wants to see the survivors there’s so many wasted shows on television who wants to see sports every day men not women wake up.
