A ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ Crew Member Has Released A Major Season 14 Update

NCIS: Los Angeles’ 14th season is set to premiere in six weeks. As a result, the cast and crew are already hard at work on the first episodes of the season.

Rick Tunell, unit production manager, has kept fans on the edge of their seats since production began in late June. Though he keeps his posts tormentingly brief, he frequently shares behind-the-scenes glimpses and filming updates.

The most recent post was on Friday, when the production manager revealed that the NCIS: Los Angeles team was nearing the end of episode 4 of the upcoming season.

Tunell and a colleague are in what appears to be a production truck, with footage of an expl0sion filling three separate screens. “5:01 pm,” wrote the NCIS: Los Angeles crew member. “That’s the end of it. TGIF. One more day to finish ep #1404. “There will be no night sh0oting like last week.”

If the crew’s social media posts are any indication, Season 14 of NCIS: Los Angeles will be the most exciting yet. In addition to the massive expl0sion teased in Rick Tunell’s most recent post, the production manager has shared “creepy locations” that will appear in future episodes.

As if that wasn’t enough, Devin Roundtree’s actor, Caleb Castille, recently hinted that Season 14 will include a return to the NCIS Boatshed. “Boatshed days are the best days,” the actor wrote in an Instagram story, alongside a video of the filming location.

The show ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ Hetty Lange Will Return in Season 14 According to the Boss

NCIS: Los Angeles is jam-packed with interesting characters. It’s one of the reasons the series has lasted so long. Hetty Lange (Linda Hunt), the fierce yet kindhearted Operations Manager for the Office of Special Projects, is one of the most adored characters.

Hetty hasn’t appeared on the show since the Season 13 premiere. She had also been mostly absent for several seasons prior to that. Fortunately, it appears that good news is on the way! According to showrunner R. Scott Gemmill, a return for Hetty in Season 14 is in the works.

“The plan is to go and rescue her at some point,” Gemmill told Cinema Blend in an interview. “Determine what she’s gotten herself into.” We’re just trying to figure out when we’ll be able to pull that off.”

“That was the plan last year as well, but it didn’t work out,” the EP explained. “We had a [C0V1D variant] surge, but things appear to be settling down.” Hopefully, nothing new will emerge, and we will be able to achieve this goal this year.”
