Blue Bloods fans were devastated by Linda Reagan’s d3ath, but what has Amy Carlson been up to since?

Blue Bloods saw the tragic d3ath of Linda Reagan six years ago, and fans have been curious about Amy Carlson’s whereabouts since her departure.

She was a recurrent cast member in season one as the wife of Danny Reagan (played by Donnie Wahlberg), before gaining the title of “also starring” from series two to four.

She was considered a prominent cast member of the CBS police family drama in season five, but she didn’t stay long, since she was k1lled off between series seven and eight.

Carlson was “surprised” when she d1ed in a medivac helicopter crash while ministering to a patient.

Carlson confirmed to Deadline that she “wouldn’t have done that,” preferring her d3ath to be played out onscreen so people could properly mourn.

After leaving Blue Bloods, Carlson’s career switched to smaller, indie films, with her first part outside of the CBS series being in A Bread Factory, Part One.

The film, about an art gallery that is trying to stay open when a celebrity couple moves in, was nominated for two Independent Spirit Awards.

In 2019, she starred in The Incoherents, which earned multiple nominations and has an 80% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and the following year in Sunny Daze.

The same year, she appeared on NBC in The Village opposite Michaela McManus from Law and Order SVU and Lorraine Toussaint from Law and Order.

She has also been in Netflix’s The Society and FBI: Most Wanted, and she earned the Hollywood Women’s Film Festival award for Best Actress in a Dramatic Short for her performance in The Letter, which she co-wrote with her husband, Syd Butler.

Her most recent on-screen appearance was in the eerie movie Know Fear two years ago.

Carlson may not be working on any new television projects right now, but she has apparently been involved in charitable initiatives.

She has collaborated with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity’s Help Women Build project, Hearts of Gold, and organizations for Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, better known as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (via Knox Alum).

Away from work, Carlson is happily married to Syd Butler, the bassist and founding member of the indie music band Les Savy Fav.

The actress and the musician have two children, Lyla and Nigel Butler.

She devoted a tribute to Lyla in October, calling her a “remarkable daughter, fiercely loyal friend, best hugger [with the] biggest heart.”
