NCIS: Los Angeles fans have been waiting for good news since CBS announced at the beginning of the year that the show will not be renewed beyond its current 14th season.

It was heartbreaking news for NCIS fans who had come to rely on the show for high-quality drama and acting performances.

NCIS, despite the bad news, is far from over. In fact, recent rumors suggest that NCIS will not only return, but will be better than ever. It may just save the police drama and make it worthwhile to watch again.

It’s not out of the question that Tony DiNozzo and Ziva David will inherit their own spinoff, according to rumors. NCIS has previously delivered several successful versions, so why not approach the subject through the eyes of the two characters?

Fans of NCIS have been clamoring for Tony (Michael Weatherly) and Ziva (Cote de Pablo) to return to the show for quite some time. The writers’ only previous explanation for their departure from the show was that Tony and Ziva were in love and had moved to France with their daughter Tali.

It is implied that the two characters are content with their current situation. However, that appearance occurred many years ago. As a result, fans believe that Ziva and Tony are the most deserving of their own spinoff.

It’s been more than ten seasons since fans last saw the beloved characters together. Ziva debuted in the season 3 premiere, replacing Kate Todd (Sasha Alexander), who was murd3red by her half-brother. Ziva eventually falls in love with Anthony “Tony” DiNozzo. He is a regular on NCIS, which is unusual given the show’s reputation for a revolving door of cast members. Tony is a well-known clown and player at first, but Ziva is able to change his attitude and mindset.

As a result, the two characters grow and fall in love throughout NCIS. Tony is well-known for telling jokes and persuading others with his infectious smile. Ziva, on the other hand, is far more reserved and conceals the fact that she is a trained assassin. She’s known for being tough and confrontational when necessary, which creates an intriguing dynamic with her on-screen love interest.

Despite this, the two characters haven’t appeared in a significant way on the show in years, which is why now is the perfect time to introduce a new version of NCIS. There are numerous ideas for how CBS could pursue the subject matter, including creating a “International” version that would explore cr1me from Tony and Ziva’s perspective in France. Why not now, when NCIS has never attempted an international location?

After all, the TV show has already established not one, but two successful spin-offs. Furthermore, CBS made a similar move in the past when it dropped the NCIS: New Orleans version in favor of NCIS: Hawaii. What makes you think it won’t happen again with Tony and Ziva?
