Not every ‘NCIS’ actor is thrilled to be leaving. Here’s what one actor had to say after learning of his character’s d3ath from the showrunners.

NCIS, a CBS hit, will return for season 21 in the near future, and fans can’t wait to see who returns. Several characters have d1ed unexpectedly on the show in the past.

According to the creators, one NCIS actor was not pleased with how his character was slain.

The writers of ‘NCIS’ revealed actor Muse Watson was’very angry’ about being k1lled off in season 8.

Since the show’s inception in 2003, fans have seen numerous of their favorite characters depart. As much as we’d like to see most of the characters stick around for the entire season, the actors have their own reasons for leaving.

And sometimes it’s not even up to the actors. Instead, the creators have their own plans that are diametrically opposed to what the actors wish for.

The creators of NCIS spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about character d3aths over the years. “There’s a joke sometimes where people would say, ‘You never know who’s going to survive on NCIS,'” executive producer Charles Floyd Johnson explained.

“Because Lauren Holly (Jenny Shepard) was there, and she went that way, as well as a few others.” And other fans remarked that the women were always faster than the males. “However, it did keep the audience’s attention.”

Johnson went on to say that Muse Watson, who portrayed Supervisory Special Agent Mike Franks on the show, was upset when he was k1lled off in season 8. “There was a character that Muse Watson played where he was an old NCIS investigator who would come and go,” explained the executive producer. “He loved the show and came in two or three times a season, and he got k1lled.” I know he was displeased.”

Muse Watson described leaving the show like “Losing An Old Friend.”

Muse Watson did not remain silent after the d3ath of his NCIS character. He expressed his views over Mike Franks’ d3ath to NCISfanatic in 2012.

“To be fair, I think it sounded nice when we were planning it. But the way things went down, I think Mike needed more,” Watson said.

Watson went on to say that he found out about his character’s d3ath while filming a Christmas production in Branson, Missouri. The actor was contacted by the executive producer and a writer from NCIS. “I kind of figured it would be them proposing his d3ath,” he said. “At that point, I heard their suggestion. It’s like saying goodbye to an old friend. But, to be honest, this is also my source of income, so it’s the equivalent of losing a job. “I wasn’t overjoyed about it.”

The designers encouraged Watson not to worry about missing screen time because they intended him to reappear as a ghost.

Several former cast members have spoken out about why they quit the show.

While Muse Watson’s NCIS character was k1lled off, several other characters left for different reasons. Fan-favorite actors such as Michael Weatherly, Mark Harmon, and Cote de Pablo stated why they wanted to leave the series despite widespread support.

De Pablo emphasized that she wanted to leave because of the plot. “Look, I really like this character. “I spent eight years crafting this character and loving her,” she told Digital Spy. “And so when I felt or I perceived that the character was not being treated with the respect that she deserved, no money in the world [would make her stay].”

Weatherly departed the series after becoming bored with it, and he went on to star in the TV series Bull. Harmon quit the show after nearly two decades, but he remains an executive producer.

  1. NCIS stopped being NCIS after SEVERAL of the ORIGINAL TEAM started being KILLED OFF, like Katelyn Todd, Genny Shepherd, and Mike Franks… Ziva David and Anthony De’Noiso walked Off the Show with Baby Tully… I’m Guessing Timothy McGee is Still on the show… How Many Books has HE Written now???

  2. We fans must remember the actors and actresses have a real life too. And just like every day people they get disgruntled with their work or their pay or whatever it is and get better offers to do something they were preferred to do in life goes on for them, the same as it does for us. We get so used to the regulars on the show that they are like family to us and we read when they’re gone whether they’re written out or killed off or actually die in real life like Ducky did, ! I hate to see my favorite be off the show for any reason, but I also love them enough to want them to be happy and their personal life as well as their work life so I accept it. I miss them a lot until they show up as a different character on another really good show. It’s like real life and death is always the end of real life love.❤️🙏❤️ To all the team on the show❤️
