The Actor of NCIS: Los Angeles Has Been Welcomed to His New NCIS Spin-Off

LL Cool J has transferred to NCIS: Hawai’i from NCIS: Los Angeles.

NCIS: Hawai’i began filming this week, and LL Cool J was on hand to play Agent Sam Hanna. In addition, he took part in a traditional Hawaiian blessing.

LL Cool J was a regular on NCIS: Los Angeles throughout its entire run. When the show was canceled, he mentioned working on new projects.

When the season finale of NCIS: Hawai’i aired last spring, many viewers were surprised to see LL Cool J in one of the final scenes. He’s back for more now.

LL Cool J had signed on as a recurring character on the Hawaiin spin-off before the Hollywood strike this summer and fall. And the work has just begun.

With Agent Hanna on board, the third NCIS spin-off gains credibility. The character takes a no-nonsense approach to his job and brings a distinct sense of humour to the small screen.

The cast of NCIS: Hawai’i takes part in a new Hawaiian blessing ceremony in the video below. Each season, the cast and crew do this before filming begins.

“ICYMI, WE’RE BACK!!!!” 🙌 The third season of #NCISHawaii began filming yesterday! “Even Inoki/Brock chimed in with perfect timing!” begins the Instagram post.

Vanessa Lachey (who plays Special Agent in Charge Jane Tennant on NCIS: Hawai’i) can be seen in the middle of the cast. LL Cool J stands next to her and smiles as they announce they are “back.”

NCIS: Hawai’i’s new season premieres on Monday, February 12. Because LL Cool J is already on set, fans may see Agent Sam Hanna during the premiere.

Due to the shortened season, LL Cool J may appear in a higher percentage of episodes than he would have otherwise.

Season 3 of NCIS: Hawai’i will most likely have 13 episodes, with the season being cut short due to the Hollywood strikes. The production of the 20+ episode season was delayed by too many months.
