Did Pauley Perrette Really Left NCIS Because of Mark Harmon?

In late 2017, Pauley Perrette confirmed her departure from NCIS, telling CBS Sunday Morning that while it was her decision, she was still “grieving.” Despite her later role on the CBS sitcom Broke, Perrette resigned from acting entirely in 2020.

Though Perrette hasn’t openly discussed the reasons behind leaving NCIS, she has hinted at a rift with Mark Harmon, a central figure on the show. Following her departure, Perrette took to Twitter with cryptic posts, alluding to tensions with Harmon.

In one tweet, she stated, “No morals, no obligation to truth, and I’m just left here, reading the lies, trying to protect my crew.” Trying to be calm. “He did it.”

In 2019, when asked about reprising her role as Abby, Perrette responded bluntly on Twitter, saying, “NO I AM NOT COMING BACK! EVER! (Please stop asking?) I am terrified of Harmon and him att4cking me. I have nightmares about it.”

Despite the reported feud with Harmon, Perrette maintains strong ties with her other NCIS co-stars, including Brian Dietzen, who played Jimmy Palmer on the show.

  1. I find it hard to believe that she was in any kind of danger for Mark Harmon. And I think it’s kind of petty to lose a good friend over something like that. When people have personal problems they react different to everybody. I would never lose a friend over such a thing, I would do my best to work things out and forgive each other. God forgives everything and everybody if they just ask and I don’t think we humans can do any better than that 🙏❤️❤️🙏
