Daniela Ruah, star of NCIS: Los Angeles, has hinted at a return to the franchise in NCIS: Hawai’i.

The actress portrayed Kensi Blye on the police procedural drama, which aired from 2009 until a few months ago.

Given that LL Cool J recently crossed over and joined the cast of Hawai’i, it’s no surprise that TV Line asked Ruah if she would do the same.

“If I’m asked, I’ll figure it out at the time,” she said. “If it makes sense, why not, right?”

NCIS: Los Angeles’ series finale saw Kensi discover that she and Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) were finally going to become parents, which may make finding time for all the NCIS-ing difficult, but may also provide some interesting drama.

The finale also hinted at more adventures for Sam Hanna, which obviously did not take long to materialize.

“One of the most beautiful things about working on NCIS: Hawai’i is the show’s ability to bring the franchise together,” said lead Hawai’i actress Vanessa Lachey of LL Cool J’s casting.

“With the triple crossover, we’ve had so much fun spreading the aloha to NCIS and NCIS: LA.” Now we have the incredible opportunity to bring Sam Hanna to Hawai’i to assist the island in solving some cases while also having a few laughs. Todd, welcome to the ohana! It’s going to be an exciting ride!”

Executive producers Matt Bosack, Jan Nash, and Christopher Silber continued, “All of us at NCIS: Hawai’i have been huge fans of LL Cool J for years and couldn’t be more thrilled or honored to be adding his spectacular talent to our ohana for season 3.”
