Fans are waiting to see if “Gibbs” will return to NCIS. The series’ showrunner has now provided a clear update on the situation with Mark Harmon. Take a look at what he said!
NCIS has experienced significant personnel changes in recent years. Fans were particularly surprised by the departure of “Gibbs” actor Mark Harmon.
But it was always made clear that the actor could return at any time. Harmon, on the other hand, has yet to take advantage of this opportunity.
That’s why NCIS fans are wondering if “Gibbs” will ever return. According to showrunner Steven D. Binder, the answer is unequivocally yes!
NCIS: A “Gibbs” return seems very likely.
Binder recently told TVInsider, “I can’t see how we don’t see [Gibbs] one more time at some point.”
So what’s the issue so far? There hasn’t been a satisfying way to return to his story so quickly.
“We left [Gibbs] smiling on a river happy,” the showrunner continued, “and that’s the image I want people to have until we’re really ready to blow that out of the water or truly embrace it in some way.”
Perhaps this will happen in the series’ 21st season. NCIS was recently renewed for a new season, which will begin this fall…

I hope he will because I won’t watch again if he doesn’t. Just can’t leave fans like that. So many I know what watch if he doesn’t come back. Sorry but he makes the show. Of course do fo the others but not like Mark
I hope mark harmon does come back he makes the program Gibbs is a brilliant actor I love watching ncis it won’t be the same without him how many of the originals will be back othey all make the show please come back mark
We would like to see Mark Harmon back even for a while he is a great actor and a beautiful man I know that he brightens up a lot of people’s lifes watching him on NCIS we know he wants to spend time with his family even if he pops in every now and then we love all the others are great too but I have been watching Mark for years on Flamingo Road Chicago Hope and we love him God 🙏 bless
I hope we’re not getting false hopes here just to get the ratings up. I stopped watching when Gibbs stayed in Alaska on that rive I love NCIS, but not the one after Gibbs, nothing against the characters, but it’s not the same without Gibbs, Tony, and ziva. Especially with Gibbs. Never be another Gibbs.
