‘NCIS L.A’: Caleb Castille shares a sneak peek at his final day on set as Season 14 comes to a close

Caleb Castille shared a behind-the-scenes look at the set of NCIS: Los Angeles’ final episode.

Millions of heartbroken fans took to social media earlier this year after CBS announced that NCIS Los Angeles would end after season 14. While fans wait for the next episode, Devin Rountree star Caleb Castille provided a major filming update and a glimpse of his final day on set.

Caleb posted a video to his Instagram Story as he prepared to play Rountree in the series finale.

Caleb said in the first post, while getting his hair done in the dressing room, “The last cut, man. That’s all there is to it. The final one. “Let’s go get it.”

He then panned the camera to his co-star Medalion Rahimi, who sat beside him and pretended to cry.

In a separate post, Caleb captioned a photo of his feet behind a mark during filming, “Last mark.”

In his final video, the 32-year-old was holding up the material from the back of his seat that read “Rountree,” the name of his character.

Caleb replied to the camera, “Aye! It’s been an honor, man. Season 14, the final season, the final day. We wrapped, and we finished.

“Many thanks for tuning in, much love!” Okay, everybody. Man! We did it! What a rush! Nineth stage! It’s insane, man.”

The actor then took to Twitter to express his gratitude to fans and to thank the cast and crew.

“Official last day shooting @NCISLA and I can’t believe how quickly time has passed,” he wrote.

“I can honestly say that I soaked up every second.

“I can’t thank my cast, crew, and @CBSTVStudios enough for believing in me and loving me. Most importantly, thank you for tuning in every Sunday!”

As a result, fans flocked to the comments section to express their gratitude and sadness at the end of NCIS LA.

@AshleyKauhn, for example, tweeted: “I’m so sad! I really liked your character!”

“Still so sad that it’s ending:((,” an emotional @elliqks added. Thank you for bringing us such great episodes each week.”

“Caleb, you’ve been so amazing as Rountree and were an incredible addition to the NCIS LA family!” said @blyedccks.

“Don’t make me cry again,” @onechicago15 said.

Although the reason for the show’s cancellation has yet to be revealed, executive producer and showrunner R Scott Gemmill stated: “Our crew has grown to be a true family, and their hard work and dedication has been fundamental to our success year after year.

“My deepest gratitude to the cast members, who have brought our characters to life with their impassioned performances – thank you for your talent, professionalism and continuous enthusiasm.

“And thank you to our devoted viewers who adored our characters and followed their adventures.

“We are excited to bring the series to a close that is both satisfying and true to these beloved characters.”
