While fans prepare to say goodbye to the beloved cast, Marty Deeks star Eric Christian Olsen took to social media to share some exciting career news.

Unlike his role as the tough LAPD-NCIS Liaison Officer, Olsen will be working behind the scenes for Matlock’s upcoming release.

CBS has ordered a reboot of the 1986 drama, starring Kathy Bates, for the 2023-2024 broadcast season.

The actor announced the exciting news on Instagram while posting the trailer and providing significant insight in the caption.

Renée Felice Smith, who previously played Nell Jones alongside Olsen, also shared the trailer.
