As part of its aim to consolidate its online presence, NCIS is mixing things up on social media. The move has split fans, especially in light of the disappointing season 21 news.

NCIS has recently made a significant social media move.

The series opted to strengthen its online presence as work on season 21 was delayed owing to ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

NCIS fans were taken aback when multiple accounts for spinoffs, including NCIS: Los Angeles, New Orleans, and Hawaii, mysteriously vanished.

On social media, the series explained their decision. However, fans were divided on the subject, particularly in light of the sad season 21 news.

NCIS released the contentious update on Instagram with a one-of-a-kind video snippet.

“It’s NCIS; please open up.” Welcome to the new location for everything #NCISverse. Stay for a bit. “You’ll enjoy it here,” the post said.

The central NCIS account will now serve as the nexus for everything NCIS-related, including its multiple spinoffs.

Although fans normally welcome any new information about the show, sentiments to this most recent revelation were very mixed.

A substantial chunk of the show’s 764,000 fans were pleased with the change.

Fans flooded the comments area with heart symbols and excited statements like “Love all the NCIS” and “THE GANG IS ALL HERE.”

Several fans, on the other hand, voiced concern over the deletion of social media content relating to specific spinoffs.

Fans were especially vociferous over NCIS: Los Angeles and NCIS: New Orleans, which ended their respective shows in 2023 and 2021.

The move in social media strategy coincides with less-than-ideal updates regarding the upcoming season of the twenty-first century.

CBS originally scheduled NCIS for the fall TV season of 2023-2024 on Monday evenings.

However, the network’s plans have now been altered due to continuing labor strikes involving writers and actors.

There is currently no release date for Season 21. Surprisingly, this will be the first fall in two decades without fresh episodes of the famous show.
