NCIS Future: Sean Murray Discusses Potential Renewal for Season 22

CBS has already renewed a few shows for the 2024-2025 season-Tracker (Season 2), Ghosts (Season 4), and Fire Country (Season 3)-and one that seems certain for its 22nd season is NCIS.

Sean Murray, who plays Timothy McGee, shares his optimism: “You never know what’s going to happen. But, given the fantastic reception we’ve had in this abbreviated Season 21, I’m really optimistic about Season 22.”

Brian Dietzen, aka Dr. Jimmy Palmer, echoes this sentiment: “I’m hoping [for another season]. I think the show has been doing really well. And why stop at 1,000? We want a clean, even 2,000. We’ll just keep it rolling.”

NCIS’s reach grows even farther, with the franchise reaching its 1,000th episode in April. While Los Angeles and New Orleans have ended their lives, Hawaii is thriving in its third season. In addition, a prequel, NCIS: Origins, and a spinoff, Tony and Ziva, starring Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo, are planned to appear.

Overall, the NCIS universe continues to captivate audiences, promising more intriguing stories and beloved characters for seasons to come.
