NCIS Fans Don’t Want To See ‘Gibbs’ Return to the Team

Fans of NCIS are debating if Leroy Jethro Gibbs, played by Mark Harmon, will return. Despite his iconic position, many believe Gibbs’ well-executed departure at the end of season 18 and subsequent calm life in Alaska throughout season 19 brought a suitable finale to his character.

Fans appreciate the narrative arc and resolution crafted for Gibbs, fearing that a one-time return for a case could undermine this. They find satisfaction in his newfound tranquility and worry that reintroducing him could disrupt the show’s evolving dynamics, particularly under the leadership of new boss Alden Parker, portrayed by Gary Cole.

While nostalgia for Gibbs is acknowledged, the prevailing opinion among fans is to welcome the show’s present course and the new dynamics created by Parker, with a focus on narrative fidelity and character growth.

  1. Don’t speak for me‼️ Mark Harmon has Gibbs is the most important part of the show and always has been. He can never really be replaced because he will always be in the minds of the dedicated fans of which I am one and have been for the whole 20 years. A lot of people come out of retirement and get back to the same job and he needs to do that too please don’t change him and play down to him. He is the star. Gibbs is the show and all of his 69 rules. I WANT MARK HARMON BACK‼️‼️‼️
