NCIS Fans Are Ecstatic as Katrina Law Joins Forces With Yellowjackets’ Star For a New Film Role

Katrina Law is best known for her role as Special Agent Jessica Knight on CBS’s hit cr1me drama NCIS, which she has played since the 18th season.

Katrina Law, who has also appeared in popular series such as Arrow and Hawaii Five-0, has become one of the most beloved members of the mainline NCIS team since her introduction in 2021. In addition to the CBS drama, she has found time to work on personal projects with her husband Keith Andreen, who recently announced the release of their next film in an exciting Instagram post.

In the upcoming independent short film Mayfly, Law will star alongside Yellowjackets star Warren Kole.

In the film, which also stars up-and-coming child actress Grace Jenkins, the NCIS regular will play an obsessive fan of a self-help author.

Law’s husband and fellow actor Andreen directed the film, and her fans were overjoyed when he confirmed it was one step closer to release.

Instagram user @tntlady68 commented with a flame emoji on a post of the film’s poster, saying, “I can’t wait! Excellent actors.”

“I bet this is fantastic,” @jay_in_paris responded. “I. Can’t. Wait!!!!” exclaimed @lilyrains.

@laurennbaily responded with an applause emoji and the words: “Yesss! @keithandreen @katrinalaw, please keep us updated. “I’m hoping to see this soon.”

“Congratulations, I can’t wait to see it,” fellow actress Christina DeRosa responded.

Law’s NCIS co-star Brian Dietzen responded with “Hell yes!!!” and a raised hands emoji.

The NCIS star also celebrated the news by posting the film’s poster to her Instagram Story and tagging a number of people who worked on the short.

Andreen included a synopsis of the film in his post, which reads: “A late-night intruder forces a best-selling self-help author to confront scars long thought healed.”

“Coming VERY SOON to festivals near you!” he added.

The director’s FilmFreeway page has a trailer for the 27-minute short film, as well as a deeper look at Mayfly’s story and themes.

“Best-selling self-help author Aaron Driscoll may appear to be a successful motivational speaker on the outside, but on the inside, he conceals a dark secret that he thought would remain buried deep in his past.”

“After a long day of talk shows, book signings, and motivational speaking, he returns home to his mansion and falls asleep, only to be startled awake by what appears to be an obsessed fan holding him at gunpoint, demanding the truth about his shameful past, and forcing him into a painful reckoning that will either k1ll him or save him.”

Although no official release date has been set, the film will be shown at festivals later this year.

Mayfly was shot in June 2022, in between Law’s work on the most recent seasons of NCIS, and is now finished.

“From start to finish, our entire team brought their A-game,” Andreen added.

“As a result, this was one of the most rewarding collaborations I’ve ever been a part of.”
