While speaking with the ladies on The View, Mark Harmon hinted a very exciting comeback to one of his legendary acting roles.
Mark Harmon may be returning to acting, but sadly for NCIS fans, it will not be as Detective Leroy Gibbs.
The NCIS alum appeared on ABC’s iconic morning talk show The View, where he updated Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, and the other ladies on his life.
Mark talked about everything from his part as Leroy Gibbs in NCIS to his new project with Leon Caroll Jr.
Sara Hains was quick to question Mark about his rumored return to an iconic part he portrayed in 2003 with an even greater Hollywood actress.
“Well, we’ve got the ideal segue to having you here at our table. Sara Haines began, “Ed Helms was just here talking about his new body-swapping Christmas movie, Family Switch.”
Now, the last time Jamie Lee Curtis was here, she promised us that the sequel to her 2003 blockbuster Freaky Friday will be made.
“You are in the original,” she pointed out, before asking, “Will you be in the new one?”
Mark responded with a cryptic statement: “I think talking to Jamie is where you got to be on this, and if she wants it to get done it’ll get done.”
Sara responded quickly, asking, “Is it really that simple?”
“You know her,” the NCIS star claimed. We’ve known each other for a long time, and if she wants it to happen, I believe it will,” Mark added coyly.
Ryan, played by the 72-year-old actor, is Jamie Lee’s (Tess Coleman) on-screen partner as well as Lindsay Lohan’s (Anna Coleman) stepfather.
A Freaky Friday sequel is in the works at Disney, according to Variety, with Lindsay and Jamie Lee slated to reprise their roles as the mother-daughter combination.
Other specifics, such as the release date and other cast members, are still unknown.
