Mark Harmon Has Revealed That ‘Gibbs’ Will Return To NCIS

It’s time to make room in your weekly TV calendar for NCIS. The hit CBS drama returns with Season 20 today, and it appears like things are already off to a rousing start, due to a significant crossover event.

However, a crucial figure, Gibbs (Mark Harmon), is conspicuously absent from the scenario. While the season appears to be jam-packed, one actor’s absence has been felt. Mark quit the show at the start of season 19 after serving as the special agent in charge from September 2003. Since then, fans have been wondering if Gibbs will return to NCIS.

Despite the radio quiet that followed his departure, it appears that Mark may be willing to return for one more round. Meanwhile, while NCIS fans were aware that Mark Harmon’s Gibbs would not appear in the Season 20 premiere, they were disappointed to see him absent from the opening credits.
