Is NCIS Being Canceled? (Will Season 21 take place..?)

With the way NCIS Season 20 ended, we have a lot of questions. The most pressing question at the moment is whether we will receive any answers. Is the series over?

With all of the strike action going on right now, it’s natural to be concerned about your favorite shows. Could it reach the point where networks cancel shows?

After all, renewed shows like The Society and Stumptown were canceled during the pand3mic.

But this isn’t the same as a pand3mic. Nothing could be filmed for a while due to the pand3mic. Whether it was a scripted or unscripted show, all studios had to figure out how to manage things.

Only scripted shows are currently unable to air due to the strike. This could be useful.

NCIS Season 21 is still in progress.

NCIS Season 21 is still scheduled to air as of this writing. It makes no sense for CBS to cancel the show. While it is no longer the network’s top performer, it remains a strong show in terms of live ratings. It’s also popular in syndication.

It also helps that it is a strong show on Mondays, competing with Monday Night Football. In the past, the Monday 9 p.m. ET/PT timeslot has struggled.

CBS took a risk by shifting this Tuesday night drama to Mondays, but it paid off handsomely. It became a better performer than previous shows, and it still is.

CBS will need the flagship series if it wants to create more spin-offs. If any of the NCIS shows were to be canceled, Hawaii would be the first to go.

However, there are shows on the network that are performing worse than these two cr1me dramas that CBS would likely look at first.
