‘NCIS’, which premiered on September 23, 2003, is now the third-longest-running scripted, live-action U.S. prime-time TV series. The series has also produced various spin-offs, such as ‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ and ‘NCIS: New Orleans.’

Season 21 will be the first without David McCallum in the cast, as he died on September 25, 2023. Despite this, McCallum’s character remains a key figure in the series. Season 21 is the smallest in the show’s history, consisting of only 10 episodes.

As ‘NCIS’ approaches its 1000th episode, it’s unclear whether Harmon and Weatherly will appear in person. The series now airs new episodes every Monday at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
