Only a week after revealing the season 14 premiere date, CBS revealed the bombshell that Blue Bloods fans have been waiting for: the program would end after the next season.

Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes, Len Cariou, and Marisa Ramirez play cherished characters in the Reagan family saga.

The show debuted in 2010, and committed viewers have followed the ups and downs of the police drama. The principal stars reportedly took a pay cut last year to keep the show running.

“Blue Bloods will be an indelible part of CBS’s legacy.”

Since its debut, it has ruled Friday nights with unmatched supremacy and established itself as a bedrock of our winning lineup with an extraordinarily committed fan base,” Amy Reisenbach, President, CBS Entertainment, and David Stapf, President, CBS Studios, said in a joint statement to Deadline.

The message guarantees that the season will be “the most satisfying season yet” for fans.

Join us for Season 14 of #BlueBloods, which will air in TWO parts: February 2024 and Fall 2024 on @cbstv and @paramountplus. Fans swamped the account with comments over the show’s conclusion.

The series finale we all knew was coming. Here’s to a successful last season

“oh no!!! “I am heartbroken.”

My heart has just shattered. This program, as well as its cast and crew, has my heart! This show is unlike any other. I consider myself a member of the Reagan family because I have had dinner with them 275 times. Please tell me this isn’t the end! I’m not prepared to say good-by!

“Oh my God, this can’t be. We must not lose our ‘family’ of Blue Bloods. Please reconsider this terrible decision. “Your fans are horrified.”

“This is heartbreaking news. Please think about it. Your Blue Bloods clan desires more.

If there is one bright spot, it is that the last season will be split into two parts: The first ten episodes will show on February 16, and the final eight will begin in the fall of 2024.

  1. This can’t be true. It is one of the top shows on TV. The writer strikes are 100% responsible. I wonder if they got paid?
They keep these ridiculous sitcoms on because you don’t need talent to write the stories. Fortunately, I stream them on my
TV. They are obviously older episodes, but, I can watch them. I understand the viewer ratings were really high. Makes no sense?
I really am shocked 😡I love all the actors, but, my favorite is Danny. He is a rebel, aggressive, and goes against the grain in every show. I am devastated.

  2. What is the reason? There is so much junk on T V that they could get rid of instead of this terrific show.. the cast is great and the stories are are good. Shame

  3. Why do the corporations in charge think
they know all the answers, The Blue Bloods
is one of the best shows ever. You need to
rethink this decision. This isn’t the only show
on CBS maybe all the fans will stop watching
all you shows. I for one will.

  4. I hate to see go. I hope the CBS does not develop a show that uses some of the cast members to carry on the NYPD Blue theme. It would only diminish the legacy of such a great show.

Thank you very much CBS, the writers, and the cast members that gave us great memories and a decade of reruns.

  5. Most TV shows are worse than awful.
Blue Bloods was one of 2 network shows we watched,
Most are garbage. Thank goodness we gave PBS!

  6. This will be a great loss to all the fans. The show was not all about police family but deep devoted family in every aspect of what goes on. It was honor that every Sunday there is a family dinner and how everyone loves each other with their views. Can you say in this time, how many still have Sunday dinner with family? I will miss all actors on this great show.
