While Blue Bloods’ future hasn’t been as certain as that of other shows, it was recently threatened with budget cuts as part of a CBS renewal wave. However, the show was renewed for a 14th season, prompting star Donnie Wahlberg to rejoice.

Donnie Wahlberg, aka Detective Danny Reagan, expressed gratitude to Entertainment Tonight, likening it to his experience with New Kids on the Block.
I’m just overwhelmed with gratitude, you know? It’s incredible to be doing so many things that I enjoy. I’ve been in my band for nearly 40 years, 30-something years, and I’ve been doing this show for 13 years, and I’m eternally grateful.
Reaching 14 seasons and 250 episodes is a significant achievement for Blue Bloods. Donnie Wahlberg, also a member of New Kids on the Block, continues his double duty.
With no signs of stopping, the series is just one season away from joining the 300-episode club.
According to THR, the Blue Bloods cast and producers took a 25% pay cut to ensure the show’s continuation. This sacrifice reflects the series’ importance to both the cast and the series’ devoted fans.
Despite the lack of cliffhangers and major story arcs, the show retains its audience by building anticipation for what the Reagans will face in the next season.
Because Season 13 is still in progress, it’s difficult to predict what the Reagans will be up to in Season 14. Fortunately, there are still a few episodes left in this season, including an upcoming Magnum P.I. reunion, which will undoubtedly be exciting.
