Fans are barely a week away from the NCIS: Los Angeles season finale, but Daniela Ruah has already lined up a new project.

In mid-April, the actress announced on Instagram that she is appearing in a new Netflix series. She released posters for the new series Turn of the Tide from Portugal and the United States, revealing that the Portuguese-language action thriller will premiere on the streaming service on May 26.

This news comes ahead of her departure from CBS, as her stint on NCIS: LA finishes two weeks early, on May 14.

“It’s coming,” she captioned the image on April 14 and translated it into her native Portuguese.

Because Daniela has been known for her role as Kensi Blye for the past 14 years, fans were relieved to learn that she will not be leaving acting once NCIS: LA concluded its stint on primetime television. Furthermore, they appeared pleased that she would be starting a new career so soon after the CBS drama ended.

“Looking forward to seeing it,” one person wrote. ❤️”Very excited ❤️,” another person commented. “Good luck on your next project, @danielaruah [a] Poland fan of NCIS LA sends greetings,” another follower wrote.

In terms of what viewers may expect from Turn of the Tide, Netflix teased some details in the video description on YouTube.

According to the official synopsis, the series will follow a group of friends when a large quantity of narcotics wash up on the shores of Rabo de Peixe in the Azores, Portugal.

This forces them to decide “whether to remain a small fish in a sea of sharks, or change their destiny forever.” IMDB has announced that Daniela will play a character named Fátima in two of the seven upcoming episodes.

Netflix is not the only thing the actress has been up to lately. A few days before the announcement, Daniela revealed that she also hosts the Portuguese TV show Os Traidores, which translates to “Traitors” in English.

“The day has finally arrived! Episode 1 of ‘Os Traidores (Traitors)’ premieres tonight in Portugal, and I’m very excited for you all to meet the candidates!” She posted on Instagram on April 9. “It was an amazing experience to be a part of this show. “Let us go!”

Viewers may also be aware that Daniela is not the only NCIS: LA star making television appearances. In February, Eric Christian Olsen announced that he is co-executive producing a relaunch of the 1980s legal drama Matlock, which would star Academy Award winner Kathy Bates and air on CBS.

It’s really bittersweet for both Daniela and Eric!
