Eddie (Vanessa Ray) has worked with a number of different partners on Blue Bloods.
Eddie has recently begun working with Officer Rachel Witten, a change from years of working with Jamie (Will Estes). Lauren Patten plays her, and she has had a few unusual jobs outside of the show.
Eddie on ‘Blue Bloods’ has a new companion.
Eddie had been patrolling the streets with Jamie for some time. But then they married, and he got promoted. So Maya Thomas (Yasha Jackson) became her new partner.
Unfortunately, they didn’t last long together. In the episode “Two-Faced,” it was revealed in season 9 that she was skimming money from cr1me sites. Eddie replaced her with a new companion named Rachel Witten.
The two officers appear to get along well. As a result, viewers may be curious in the actor that portrays her.
Rachel Witten is played by Lauren Patten.
Patten has been portraying the character since the show’s eighth season.Blue Bloods isn’t her first television show.
The actor previously appeared on The Good Fight as Polly Dean. In season 3, the character was a member of Diane’s (Christine Baranski) resistance group. She has appeared in the films Succession and The Big Sick.
She does have something in common with other Blue Bloods stars in that she has performed on Broadway. Patten was the first person to take on a defined duty.
She played Jo in ‘Jagged Little Pill’ for the first time.
Patten was the first to play Jo on Broadway in Jagged Little Pill. Because the musical is based on Alanis Morissette’s music, the title is the same as the title of her third album.
The actress spoke with ShowTickets.com on her journey to Broadway. “I’ve been acting since I was a child,” she explained. “No one does it in my family.” “I was a peculiar child who talked about performing from the time I could talk.”
“I grew up in Chicago and did community theater in a Chicago suburb from the time I was six,” Patten added. My first performance was an adaption of The Christmas Pageant.”
Patten was nominated for a Tony Award in 2020 for Best Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical. Patten appears to be a terrific fit for the Blue Bloods cast.
Before doing the performance, Len Cariou (Henry), Tom Selleck (Frank), Sami Gayle (Nicky), and others performed on Broadway. Cariou was a member of the original cast of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
So far, Witten and Eddie appear to be a terrific combination. Perhaps one day they’ll get close enough for her to be asked to a family dinner.
