Blue Bloods fans may breathe a sigh of relief, as Detective Maria Baez, played by Marisa Ramirez, is slated to return for Season 14 following speculation about her absence.
Ramirez, who plays Baez, took a vacation during Season 12 for personal reasons, but her comeback has been announced, much to the delight of viewers.
In the last season, Baez adopted a newborn girl whose mother was k1lled in a bombing orchestrated by a cr1minal.
While fans may rejoice at Baez’s return, her storyline is expected to revolve around balancing her duties as a detective with the responsibilities of motherhood, potentially affecting her screen time.
Meanwhile, Tom Selleck, who plays Frank Reagan, revealed that Season 14 could be his last owing to the strain stunt work has put on his health over the years.
Selleck, 77, has been in television since 1969 and admits that physical acts put a burden on his body.
The new season is set to premiere on October 7, 2022, with fans eagerly anticipating the resolution of plotlines, including Aaron Reagan’s run for Manhattan District Attorney, as teased by cast members on social media.
Fans have also expressed enthusiasm at behind-the-scenes glimpses from cast members Bridget Moynahan and Abigail Hawk, which hint at what to expect in the future season.
