In a recent interview with Deadline on the developing NCIS world, CBS Studios President David Stapf was asked about Pauley Perrette’s likely comeback as Abby Sciuto. Perrette’s departure from NCIS was fraught with controversy, complicating the chances of her comeback. However, Stapf remained enthusiastic about the concept, stressing the network’s admiration for Perrette and her character. He stated:
“It’s not a bad idea. We haven’t discussed it or considered it. We adore Pauley, and she’s always welcome in any NCIS franchise, but there haven’t been discussions initiated by the writers or by her. While I may have been joking when I said it’s not a bad idea, I genuinely believe it isn’t. She was a beloved character.”
