NCIS star Ziva David Told Herself ‘Don’t Have A Panic Attack’ As She Faced The Challenge of Returning

Cote de Pablo, best known for her role as Ziva David on NCIS, recently spoke up about her return to the CBS set, stressing the unforeseen hurdles she encountered. De Pablo left the show in 2014, causing a huge cast shakeup. However, she made an unexpected return later on, resurrecting a character who had been considered dead.

In a candid interview with Build in 2019, de Pablo shared that getting back into the physical demands of the role was tougher than anticipated. Despite being a regular gym-goer, she found the action sequences challenging, especially the prolonged fight scenes typical of the show’s filming process.

De Pablo emphasized the hardship of filming such scenes, expressing initial skepticism about her capacity to sustain hours of physical labor. She attributed the appearance of seamlessness on screen to the hard work of the production staff and cast. Despite appearances, she underlined that completing these sequences was not easy.

As NCIS gears up for its landmark 20th season, speculation swirls around the potential return of Ziva David. Fans remain hopeful for a reunion with her former partner, Agent Tony DiNozzo, portrayed by Michael Weatherly. With both actors currently available, the prospect of their on-screen reunion tantalizes viewers, adding to the anticipation for the upcoming season.
