Donnie wanted Rachel to know how much he and his wife, Jenny McCarthy, value her.
We’re all saddened by the closure of the Rachael Ray Show, including Donnie Wahlberg.
On May 24, the Blue Bloods star made a surprise appearance on Rachael’s final program, bringing the host to tears. Donnie wanted to give Rachael some compliments and sweet words about what she means to him and his wife Jenny McCarthy as the two were talking (along with Rachael’s husband, John).
“Thank you very much, Rachael. And not everyone in this business is genuine, and you’ve been really, really nice,” Donnie added as Rachael began to cry.”It’s a joy to be around you, and Jenny and I mean it from the bottom of our hearts.” It’s quite rare.”
Donnie, who has appeared on the show 13 times, became noticeably distraught when she learned that Rachael is quitting her show after 17 seasons. “We’re sad that you’re leaving our living rooms, but we’re all looking forward to seeing what you bring us next because you’re certainly multifaceted and you [and John] together are goals,” he said.
Rachael said earlier this year that this would be her final season. “I have had 17 wonderful seasons working in daytime television with Rachael in my more than 20 years in television,” she said in a press statement. “However, I’ve made the decision that it’s time for me to move on to the next exciting chapter in my broadcast career.”
But Donnie is correct: the Food Network star is launching her own production firm, Free Food Studio.
