Do You Expect To See Pauley Perrette Return to NCIS (or star in any show now)..?

Fans of NCIS have long hoped for a return of Abby Sciuto, but it seems Pauley Perrette has firmly moved on.

Abby, the quirky goth lab tech, became a fan favorite from the show’s 2004 debut and remained a mainstay for fifteen seasons. Her dark style, infectious energy, and playful humor made her a standout character and turned Perrette into a household name. Leaving NCIS in Season 15, Abby’s story concluded with her mourning the death of colleague Clayton Reeves and starting a charity in his honor-offering fans a heartfelt send-off.

Despite hopes for a comeback, Perrette has made it clear she’s not returning. She has spoken openly about verbal and physical abuse she experienced on set, including from star Mark Harmon. While investigations found no wrongdoing, Perrette’s decision is final.

Since her departure, Perrette starred in CBS’s sitcom Broke, which was canceled after one season, survived a stroke in 2021, and devoted herself to charity work. Recently, she confirmed her retirement from acting, telling Hello magazine she wants to live authentically: acting had been “a great escape,” but now she feels a deep need to fully embrace her real self, rather than stepping into someone else’s shoes.

Though fans may miss Abby, Perrette seems happier and fulfilled, producing documentaries and dedicating her energy to causes she cares about. While a return to NCIS would be exciting, it’s clear Perrette is focused on her life, health, and personal growth-leaving Abby behind for good.
