Fans were heartbroken when Pauley Perrette and Michael Weatherly left NCIS in 2018 and 2016, respectively.
They did, however, share the small screen again earlier this week when they reunited with some familiar faces to bring attention to a worthy cause. Pauley had nothing but admiration for her former coworkers, who had all come together to support the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Pauley, who has since retired from acting, shared a video on Twitter in which she thanked many of her former NCIS co-stars for helping to spread the importance of donating to the LAFD.
“Me and a bunch of people you know and love are asking you to join us in supporting our @LAFD,” she wrote in the video’s caption. “Fire departments rely on the people they serve for supplies. WATCH OUR VIDEO HERE AND #SupportLAFD! (It’s fantastic!)”
Several of Pauley’s former co-stars, including Diona Reasonover, Meredith Eaton, and Rocky Carroll, appear in the video and urge viewers to “help them help us.”
“Hi, this is Michael Weatherly reminding you of something you already know,” he says when he appears on screen.
Fans reacted positively to the video, with many thanking Pauley for bringing attention to such a worthy cause. “This is an amazing video,” one person said. “I am SO HAPPY that you have listed and thank @DionaReasonover for joining you on this because you are both my SHeroes,” said another.
Pauley hasn’t seen her NCIS family on screen in a long time. Fans will recall that Michael left the long-running naval drama back in 2016 after 13 seasons. Later that year, he landed the lead role in the legal drama Bull, which is loosely based on Dr. Phil’s early career.
However, in recent months, the actor has repeatedly sent NCIS fans into a tailspin by sharing throwback photos from his time on the show with cryptic captions, fueling speculation that he is eager to return after leaving his role as Dr Jason Bull.
Meanwhile, Pauley served as Abby Sciuto’s chief forensic scientist until 2018.
