Pauley Perrette, star of NCIS, has received an outpouring of love after sharing a candid and touching tribute to her late mother on what would have been her birthday.
Pauley Perrette took to Instagram to share a series of touching images in memory of her late mother. The former NCIS star celebrated her mother’s birthday with a sweet post in front of her 5,499 followers.
The first photo Perrette shared was of her mother cradling her as a baby, followed by another of the two when the actor was a toddler.
The third photo also showed Perrette as a blonde-haired child with her mother, before she ended the series of photos with a smiley selfie with her mother.
To accompany the photo series, Perrette wrote a heartfelt message: “Today would have been my mom’s birthday.
“I had lost her 20 years ago. I wish I could have known her now that I’m older and less of a jerk.”
“Got a lot to say to her, and to apologize for when I meet her in Heaven!” she continued.
“And I was a great kid!” But I can always find something for which to apologize.
“I consider myself fortunate that my parents frequently visit me in my dreams. We had SO MUCH FUN in a speed boat last night.
“I adore you, Mom. “#HappyBirthday #Mom,” Perrette wrote before signing off, prompting a number of her followers to express their condolences and words of support.
“She is a so radiant, just like you,” motivational speaker Alicia Kozak responded to the post. “Happy Heavenly birthday, Momma.”
While @princessaly0722, a Perrette fan, chimed in: “You look like mom, hb to your momma,” followed by a series of love heart emojis.
This was echoed by @johnlusher, who responded with a series of love heart emojis before writing, “Happy Heavenly Birthday to mom. “You look exactly like her!”
@yamikreator noticed the similarities as well: “She is just like you, so beautiful.”
“Sending lots of love your way, P,” @craftyscorpion added, followed by a love heart emoji.
Perrette has been open about her grief and loss with her fans since leaving the CBS cr1me drama.
Perrette shared the heartbreaking news that her father had died after contracting C0v1d in January 2021.
To commemorate one year since his death, the former NCIS and Broke star wrote another heartbreaking tribute to her loved one earlier this year.
Perrette shared with her 705.1k Twitter followers the tragic circumstances surrounding her father’s death: “One year ago my beloved dad died of #C0v1d.
“His political party told him it was fake and like hundreds of thousands others they k1lled him with that. Vaccines did not exist at the time.
“Just exhausted health-care workers, d3ad bodies all over. And Me. We’re saying our goodbyes. On the phone of a nurse.”
Similarly, Perrette received a lot of love from fans, including former NCIS co-star Brian Dietzen, who plays Jimmy Palmer.
