NCIS fans, get ready for a blast from the past! For the first time ever, the flagship series will team up with its prequel, NCIS: Origins, in a special two-hour crossover event airing Tuesday, Nov. 11 on CBS.
The night kicks off at 8/7c with NCIS: Origins, where Gibbs and his young team tackle the mysterious small-town death of a naval officer in the ’90s. Then at 9/8c, NCIS reopens the very same case – this time in the present day.
Stars Wilmer Valderrama (NCIS) and Austin Stowell (NCIS: Origins’ young Gibbs) revealed the exciting news in a joint announcement video.
While Origins is new to the crossover game- it debuted just last October- the NCIS universe has a long tradition of linking its series. The last big event came in 2024, when NCIS joined forces with NCIS: Hawai’i before its cancellation.
Beyond the crossover, fans won’t have to wait long for fresh episodes. The franchise returns Tuesday, Oct. 14, with Season 23 of NCIS at 8 pm, Season 2 of NCIS: Origins at 9 pm, and Season 3 of NCIS: Sydney at 10 pm.
