Since Kensi Blye from NCIS Los Angeles has been absent, when can we expect her back?

The cast of NCIS Los Angeles had been the same for more than a decade before Eric Beale (played by Barrett Foa) and Nell Jones (Renee Felice Smith) left in the season 12 finale. Moving forward, some new characters were introduced to the show to work alongside the existing fan favorites. This included the headstrong Agent Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah), who discovered love and heartbreak while working on the Special Projects team.

Kensi was heartbroken when her partner, Agent Dom Vail (Adam Jamal Craig), was k1lled in season one.

She was traumatized by his d3ath and was paired with Agent Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen), of whom she was unsure at first.

However, as fans are already aware, their professional relationship evolved into friendship and then romance, culminating in the couple’s marriage in season 10.

Last season, Kensi and Deeks adopted Rosa (Alana de la Garza), learning to balance their professional lives with their new family dynamic.

When will Kensi Blye return to NCIS: Los Angeles?

Agent Kensi Blye was last seen in Glory of the Sea, episode six of season 14, when she was struggling to be a “fun parent.”

However, she has been absent from both of the subsequent episodes, Survival of the Fittest and Let it Burn.

Deeks did explain in episode seven that she was away for training, leaving him to care for Rosa with the assistance of his mother, Roberta Deeks (Pamela Reed).

Unfortunately, fans will have to wait a long time to see Kensi again on their screens.

The winter midseason hiatus for NCIS Los Angeles has begun, with the most recent episode airing on Sunday, November 27.

For the rest of 2022, there will be no new episodes of NCIS LA, which means no more scenes with Kensi or the rest of the team.

Instead, fans will have to wait until Sunday, January 2, for episode nine to air.

It has already been confirmed that Kensi will return for this installment, titled A Long Time Coming.

The following is the synopsis for the first NCIS LA episode of 2023: “In Washington, DC to honor a former professor’s retirement.

“The NCIS agents are compelled to look into the professor’s suicide.

“Each member learns that a hitman is out to k1ll them all, with $200,000 bounties on their heads.”

Ruah is thought to have taken time away from NCIS LA to work on another project.

Ruah appears in the WWII drama A Espia, which was originally scheduled to be released in 2020.

The series will return for a second season in 2023, with Ruah reprising her role as lead character Maria Joo Mascarenhas.

Because no release date has been announced, fans will have to wait a little longer for more information.
