G Callen, an NCIS: Los Angeles agent, will drop a huge hint that his missing boss, Hetty Lange, may make a miraculous return before the current season ends.
In a brand new sneak peek from this week’s episode of NCIS: Los Angeles, Special Agent G Callen (played by Chris O’Donnell) is still struggling to make plans for his upcoming wedding to Anna Kolcheck (Bar Paly). Although the big day in season 14 of the hit CBS series is quickly approaching, fans are still wondering if long-running Operations Manager Hetty Lange (Linda Hunt) will be able to attend once she’s recovered from her most recent mission.
Following a tantalizing teaser from Callen, Hetty could be making her long-awaited return to NCIS: LA.
The agent has finally decided to marry his girlfriend Anna, but a new clip shows that his partner Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) is irritated by his lack of preparation.
In this Sunday’s episode, Glory of the Sea, Callen admits he still hasn’t gotten a new suit tailored for the ceremony, which makes for an amusing conversation.
Callen insists, “I don’t need your guy,” to which Sam responds, “Trust me, you do.”
“I’m not going to stand up there with a depressed groom.”
Callen dismisses Hanna’s advice, but his partner insists he shouldn’t be walking down the aisle in one of his field suits.
Hanna warns him that his tailor is used to a “certain type of clientele,” to which Callen inquires.
“The kind that doesn’t walk down the aisle in a bullet-riddled suit,” Sam jokes.
Callen assures him that he will have the suit dry-cleaned twice to ensure it is free of blood stains and gunpowder.
Hanna, on the other hand, warns him: “Hetty’ll k1ll you if you do that.”
“Well, she’d have to come out of hiding first,” Callen retorts.
Is this a hint that Hetty will return to whip Callen into shape before his wedding?
Due to the dangers of C0V1D 19, main cast member Linda has played a smaller role in recent seasons of NCIS: LA.
She has since made sporadic appearances, but a recent and sh0cking revelation suggests it may be some time before she returns to headquarters.
Both Callen and his current superior Admiral Kilbride (Gerald McRaney) were led to believe Hetty had been k1lled in action earlier this season.
Other NCIS operatives discovered the remains of a small woman in Syria, but they later discovered that their old boss had faked her d3ath to avoid enemy insurgents.
“Several human remains were discovered inside [an abandoned school].” “They were completely burned,” an officer revealed to Callen.
“However, one of the bodies was identified as an American female named Trudy Chambers by documents.”
Because Trudy was an alias used by his former OM earlier in the series, Callen assumed the remains belonged to Hetty.
They later discover, thankfully, that Hetty had faked her d3ath by planting her ID on the remains of a child who had tragically d1ed in the incident.
The team has yet to discover her whereabouts, but fans are still hoping for her triumphant return by the end of season 14.
Hanna mentioning her in the upcoming episode could be a sign that their old boss will return just in time to witness Callen and Anna’s wedding.
