NCIS L.A: star Daniela Ruah Makes An Exciting Career Announcement Following the Cancellation of the Show

Daniela Ruah, star of NCIS: Los Angeles, has made an exciting career announcement just weeks after CBS announced the cancellation of the spin-off series.

The Kensi Blye actress, who is also set to star in an upcoming Netflix drama, revealed on her Instagram page that she will soon be returning to the small screen as the presenter for the Portuguese version of The Traitors.

The actress shared the news in a joint post with the TV channel SIC, which included a message from the company’s CEO of Entertainment, Daniel Oliveira.

“Daniela Ruah is the host of the new SIC show ‘The Traitors,’ which begins recording in March,” Daniel explained.

“We are delighted to have Daniela Ruah on this program at SIC. Daniela possesses the talent, energy, professional experience, and resources necessary to adapt to the various narrative records required by the format at various stages. You’re as enthusiastic about this program as we are, and it’s being produced successfully all over the world.”

Daniela will host the Portuguese adaptation of The Traitors.

The message was followed by Daniela’s own statement, which read: “I am very happy to accept this challenge from the SIC to introduce ‘The Traitors’. It will be a new experience for me, but I’m most excited to be back in front of the Portuguese audience.”

The upcoming series is a spin-off of the original Dutch series, which also inspired the British version of the show hosted by Claudia Winkleman on BBC One, as well as the American season.

A group of contestants compete in the ultimate game of deception in order to win a large cash prize in the reality competition. 22 strangers are tasked with determining which of them are traitors before they are “k1lled” one by one.

The exciting career announcement comes shortly after CBS revealed that NCIS: Los Angeles would be ending after the final episode of season 14, which airs in May.

Daniela told ET about the news, “I’m not sad that it’s ending. I believe the show has had an amazing, long run; we’ve told phenomenal stories, and the characters have grown and matured in front of everyone on the show. It’s a bittersweet situation.

“Like, it’s time to move on creatively, but it’s going to be so difficult not to be with this incredible family of people.”
