NCIS Fans Are Worried About Gibbs’ Death After a CBS Star Drops A Crossover ‘BodyBag’ Hint: ‘Please Not Gibbs’

NCIS fans are in for a treat when all three CBS franchise shows come together for a historic event – but will it include heartbreaking twists?

Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) is just one of the NCIS stars who will soon be collaborating with NCIS LA stalwarts G Callen (Chris O’Donnell) and Kensi Blye (Daniela Ruah), as well as Hawaii’s Jane Tennant (Vanessa Lachey) and Jesse Boone (Noah Mills). There have been a few images and plot details released to tease what to expect from the January 2 event, but the latest spoiler from actor Valderrama has some fans worried that former leading man Gibbs may be leaving (Mark Harmon).

After all, Gibbs hasn’t been seen on NCIS since deciding to take a break in Alaska at the start of season 19.

In Gibbs’ absence, Alden Parker (Gary Cole) has led Torres, Knight (Katrina Law), McGee (Sean Murray), and the rest of the team, and a return appears increasingly unlikely.

But are CBS executives really plotting his demise? Fans expressed their concern after seeing a new photo on Valderrama’s Instagram.

He’s joined by NCIS LA’s Sam Hanna (LL Cool J) Callen, Hawaii’s Jesse and Tennant, as well as Parker, McGee, Knight, and Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen).

The most striking observation, however, is that the dream team of agents is standing around a body bog.

And, based on its shape, it’s clear that there’s a body inside the sheet.

“Monday, January 2nd, 2023,” Valderrama wrote in the caption. “#NCISVerse, history will be made.”

Fans naturally wanted to know more about the upcoming scenes, and @lindajillrandall responded, “Who’s in the body bag???”

Valderrama responded with a worrying teaser: “@lindajillrandall someone we ALL know…” followed by a slew of sad emojis.

This naturally sparked concern among followers who saw Valderrama’s response in the comments.

And, according to fans, Gibbs quickly emerged as the frontrunner who would fit the bill as the v1ctim.

“@wilmervalderrama “Please, no Gibbs.” “@wilmervalderrama tell me it’s not gibbs,” @arlarm112 pleaded, echoing @ts mme.g.

@alexissssespinoza_ went a step further with her response: “@wilmervalderrama If he’s one of the most adored characters, I swear I despise NCIS with all my heart.”

While @rebeccainnes_ appeared perplexed by the hint: “@wilmervalderrama” “Wait, what?!?” followed by an emoji with a straight face

And @dianehep was already worried: “@wilmervalderrama oh. “I never say that,” she says, followed by crying emojis. (sic)

Fans will have to wait until the episode to find out for certain, but based on Valderrama’s tease, the agents will have a personal connection to the v1ctim.

On Monday, January 2, a three-way crossover event will take place over the course of three hours.

NCIS: Los Angeles will skip its usual Sunday night time slot for one night only to accommodate the one-time special.

This will be the first time LA, Hawaii, and the flagship drama have merged in this way, with NCIS previously participating in crossovers with each of its spin-offs separately.

  1. If it’s Gibbs, I’m definitely done watching the show. I love the other people on the show but, I’m sorry I don’t care for Parker. I miss my Gibbs 🥲😭
