NCIS Fans Are Overjoyed as Pauley Perrette Reunites With Her Co-Star in A Heartfelt Instagram Post

Pauley Perrette is best known for her role as NCIS’s goth forensic scientist Abby Sciuto, and she recently paid a visit to one of her former co-stars.

This week has been nothing but good news for NCIS fans, with CBS confirming that new seasons of the mainline show and its popular new spin-off, NCIS: Hawaii, have been approved. On Wednesday, fans were treated to another treat when former series regular Pauley Perrette reunited with a friend from the show nearly 15 years after they last shared the screen.

Perrette, a former NCIS regular, reunited with actress Lauren Holly for a sweet new Instagram post.

The two NCIS alums smiled at the camera after not working together since the hit CBS drama’s fifth season.

“Reunited!” Perrette captioned her sweet post. @laurenholly and I. Love!”

Holly played director Jenny Shephard from season three to five before handing over to current director Leon Vance (Rocky Carroll).

Fans were overjoyed to see the ex-NCIS boss reunited with the forensic specialist, and some left heartfelt messages in the comments section.

“Abby Sciuto and Director Shepard,” @tneally97 responded. “These are two of my all-time favorites.”

“A couple of my FAVE NCIS women,” said @klandersen42.

“Wonderful photo girls,” said @tinamills6985. You two got older? I’m not seeing it. Just two of the most beautiful girls from a previous show who became great heroes.”

“That is AMAZING!” @pchistorian yelled. “I adore both of you. So… Hollywood isn’t as big as we thought it was!”

“OMG, you guys are my idols, and I’m overjoyed to see you both in the same picture!!!” @abby and jessica ncis has been added.

“I’m so glad to see these two together,” @susanhardstock added.

Several other fans chimed in to praise Holly’s brief but memorable tenure as their favorite NCIS director.

Holly wore a Canadian Tire baseball cap for the post, while Perrette maintained her fiery yellow and orange hairstyle.

The former NCIS star got her big break in the 1990s on Picket Fences, a CBS drama starring Tom Skerritt.

She has since appeared in several popular American dramas, including Motive, Designated Survivor, Lucifer, and Tiny Pretty Things.

Holly most recently appeared as a recurring character in the Canadian legal drama Family Law, which was renewed for a second season last year.

Her reunion with Perrette came shortly after CBS announced some exciting news for fans of their long-running NCIS series.

Despite the cancellation of the spin-off NCIS: Los Angeles earlier this year, both the flagship show and its new offshoot, NCIS: Hawaii, were renewed for another season.

Later this year, the 21st season of NCIS will premiere, followed by a third installment starring Jane Tennant (Vanessa Lachey) and the Pearl Harbour task force.

Unfortunately, Perrette will not be joining the team after leaving the series at the end of season 15.

She has confirmed that she has no plans to return to the series or make a guest appearance, and she has officially announced that she will retire from acting in 2020.
