Michael Weatherly of Bull posts cryptic farewell message: ‘Sing A Song About Endings’

Michael Weatherly star of BULL appears to have bid farewell to the hit legal drama, which was recently cancelled by CBS.

CBS’ acclaimed legal drama starring Michael Weatherly as Dr. Jason Bull is officially ending after the network cancelled it in January. With fans preparing to say their final goodbyes as the season finale approaches, it appeared that the actor had already bid viewers farewell in a recent Twitter post.

Michael has played Dr. Jason Bull since the show’s inception in 2016, after leaving NCIS as the beloved Anthony DiNozzo.

The actor portrayed a psychologist and a trial science expert in the legal drama and was in high demand for his signature ability to free his clients.

Throughout the series, Jason used his skills, as well as those of his team, to select the best jurors for his clients and to assist his clients’ lawyers in determining which type of argument would best persuade jurors.

After six seasons and one internal investigation, the show will be officially cancelled at the end of May.

Michael was the one who announced the show’s cancellation after season six on Twitter.

He wrote in the statement, “Hello all! It’s been an honor to play Dr. Jason Bull, but after six seasons of incredible storylines, I’ve decided to pursue new creative challenges and bring his story to a close.

“It has been an honor to collaborate with this talented cast, crew, and writing/producing team, who have helped reinvent the legal drama.”

“Stay tuned for a big series finish,” he added. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has supported me. “You will always be a member of the Bull family.”

With fans distraught and mentally preparing to watch the upcoming finale, it appeared as if the actor had already bid his audience farewell.

The caption, which accompanied a photo of himself in a garden playing the guitar, is where he wrote the cryptic message.

“Somewhere, after many episodes of television, man decides to sing a song about endings,” Michael explained.

Although he did not specifically mention Bull, it is the only TV show he is currently starring in that is ending.

CBS had responded to his cancellation announcement with their own, confirming Bull’s demise.

“For six seasons, Bull has established itself as a ratings winner with its fresh take on the judicial process never before seen on television,” according to the network.

“We want to thank the talented cast… the incredible creative team… and our hardworking crew for bringing these innovative stories to life.”

“We also thank our loyal viewers and look forward to providing them with a final run of compelling episodes filled with the humor, intelligence, and twists that have made the drama a fan favorite,” they continued.

Many speculate that Bull was canceled due to its turbulent run on television following a number of allegations made against Michael.

Eliza Dushku, who played J.P Nunnally on the show, left after reaching a $9.5 million (£7.6 million) settlement with CBS.

The actress claimed she was fired after complaining about Michael’s crude and offensive comments to her.

Michael Weatherly vehemently denied the allegations and publicly apologized for “the pain” he caused the actress, but he claimed he had nothing to do with her departure.
