Milana Vayntrub, better known as “Lily” from AT&T commercials, was born in Tashkent, now Uzbekistan. Her family fled to the United States owing to religious persecution and arrived as refugees when she was quite young.
Milana’s early career began in childhood, with her first appearance in a Barbie commercial at age two. She later took on roles in shows like ER, Days of Our Lives, and Lizzie McGuire.
Her comedic skills, developed at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, helped her get the AT&T role, which became a hit in over 40 commercials. Her astute, caustic persona became widely popular.
Milana didn’t just find success in acting but also in activism. She co-founded the movement #CantDoNothing to raise awareness for the European migrant crisis, a cause deeply personal to her.
Milana is still working on new projects, despite the fact that her role as Squirrel Girl in Marvel’s New Warriors was never filmed. Her passion for acting and humanitarian work puts her in the public glare.
