Daniela Ruah, star of NCIS: Los Angeles, celebrated her daughter Sierra’s sixth birthday on Sunday. Ruah, who plays Special Agent Kensi Blye on the CBS drama, was having a good time. She shared some adorable photos of her child on her Instagram account. Ruah’s comments were filled with love and praise for Sierra. That’s not surprising given how proud she is of her adorable child.
“This kid skips everywhere,” Ruah wrote in the caption section. “This kid doesn’t back down from a challenge; she perseveres.” This kid laughs all over… he’s so smart, thoughtful, and creative. The sweetest daughter and little sister… We adore this little nugget! Sierra was about two years old in all of these photos, but she turns six today! Now there are two hands! I love you, I love you, I love you nom nom nom nom (mommy kissing her cheeks).”

Meanwhile, we should discuss NCIS: Los Angeles briefly. The show is preparing to return for a new season this fall. As you may know, Ruah plays Blye opposite Marty Deeks, played by Eric Christian Olsen. Rosa is a new addition to the family of the couple on the show. For a long time, Kensi and Marty have wished to become parents. They’ve been through a lot, and now they’re parents. It will be interesting to see how this new family comes together.
Speaking of Olsen, he was instrumental in bringing Ruah and her husband David Paul Olsen together. If the surname sounds familiar, it’s because David is Eric’s brother. Eric was the one who brought them together. They would eventually get married. She’d seen David around because he’s Eric’s stunt double on the show. “When they got together, because he came on to do stunts, I would say something nice about her to him and then say something to him about her,” he told The Queen Latifah Show.
They would eventually have a son named River. Then a sister named Sierra would appear. Yes, she is the birthday girl we’ve been discussing.
