Cote de Pablo is a well-known actress best known for her portrayal of Ziva David in NCIS.
The actress is a private person, but she has previously opened up about her personal life in order to raise awareness and help others.
Cote spoke out about a terrifying health scare she faced in a video for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in September 2015, revealing that she had a cervical cancer scare that affected not only her, but her loved ones.
“Cancer, we don’t want to think about it, but I had to because, well, I was busy,” she said in the video. Working, traveling, and enjoying life took precedence over my health.
“It’s been far too long since my last Pap. Things didn’t look good by the time I was tested. “We suspected I had cervical cancer.” After much worry, I was fortunate to be cancer-free.
“I’ve always been close to my mother, and when we finally got the results, she burst into tears.” And that’s when I realized it’s not just about me; it’s also about your family.”
Cote de Pablo, a former NCIS star, opened up about her health scare.
The actress then urged women to get a Pap test: “So, women, get a Pap test to see if you have cervical cancer. Pay attention to your health for the sake of yourself and those who love you.”
Cote has been fit and healthy since her health scare. Fans of NCIS are always hoping that the star will return to the show, as she left in 2016 before making a surprise return in seasons 16 and 17.
While there are currently no plans, the show’s executive producer, Steve Binder, told TV Line in 2020 that he is always open to the idea of the star returning.
On NCIS, she portrayed Ziva David.
“‘Let’s not grab Cote and stick her in,’ it’ll always be. ‘Let’s first come up with a story and see if it’s something worthy of bringing that character back,’ it says “He elaborated.
“We’ve really played all of the cards there are to play [with Ziva], so we don’t have any plans right now,” he said, “but we’re certainly open to it.”
