Blue Bloods Season 14: Donnie Wahlberg Shares New Behind-the-Scenes Video with Marisa Ramirez

With the resolution of the SAG-AFTRA strike, several productions have resumed, bringing good news to many viewers. However, for fans of ‘Blue Bloods,’ the return for Season 14 comes with a bittersweet note – it will be the show’s final season.

The last season will be divided into two parts, but the advanced knowledge of the ending allows the writers to wrap things up. Despite it being the beginning of the end, series star Donnie Wahlberg appears quite content overall.

Donnie Wahlberg, who portrays Danny Reagan on “Blue Bloods,” shared a playful video on Instagram featuring co-star Marisa Ramirez (Detective Maria Baez) as they return to the set for Season 14.

The caption reads, “Happy Monday! Reagan & Baez are back on the set! Let’s go!” The new season premieres on February 16, 2024, giving fans time to revisit older episodes before bidding farewell to the characters.

Fans are anticipating the show’s conclusion.

Donnie Wahlberg’s Instagram post is filled with fan comments expressing conflicting emotions. While many are excited to see Danny and Maria back in action, there’s disappointment about the show’s impending end.

Several comments extend a warm “Welcome back!” to the characters. One user, @lynn_mader_, shares the sentiment, saying, “Love you guys, love this show, it’s the best.

Don’t let this be the last season, please!” Another fan expresses anticipation for the new season but adds, “But I’m also sad that it’s the last season.”

Fortunately, there is still a complete season of “Blue Bloods” to look forward to. Because of the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes, most series will premiere with fewer episodes in the spring of 2023/2024.

Most programs will probably get 10 to 13 episodes, however “Blue Bloods” will get a little more for Season 14. According to Deadline, the first ten episodes of “Blue Bloods” Season 14 will debut in the spring of 2024.

The remaining eight episodes will then premiere in the fall of 2024, for a total of 18 episodes. The show generally releases at least 20 episodes per season, so while this is a bit less, it should be enough to keep fans satisfied.

Throughout it all, Wahlberg appears to be hopeful about the situation. And who knows what else?Perhaps Season 14 will allow the authors to further deepen Danny and Maria’s bond.
