Blue Bloods Season 14 Will Not Return This Year: Here’s When You Can Expect It Instead

Sadly, there will be no new Blue Bloods season this fall. Fortunately, we’ll still get plenty of Reagans – and we’ll also know when to expect S14. In a way.

Despite many fans’ misgivings, Blue Bloods was renewed for a new season following the conclusion of Season 13, and we can expect our beloved Reagans to return at least once more.

However, they will not be returning this fall because a strike by American writers and actors halted all production, resulting in little progress.

For those of us who can’t picture our Friday nights without the Reagans, we have some sort-of-good news: starting September 29, we’ll be airing the top ten finest episodes of Blue Bloods ever.

While it is not a new season, it is an excellent substitute – and we can even vote on the episode order!

But let us return to the main point: Season 14.

For the time being, Blue Bloods has declared that the next season would be postponed until 2024 owing to the uncertain nature of the joint strike, which could take many months to end.

2024 sounds a little hazy because there is (or can be) no exact date, but we’re ready to make an educated guess based on what we know thus far.

Given that the strike is expected to last into the fall, winter is out: there just won’t be enough time to manufacture the season. Spring is the next most likely alternative; however, if the strike continues, the spring release will almost certainly entail a much shorter S14 – somewhere between 6-8 episodes.

Summer is a “d3ad” season for TV series, so it’s out as well – and if Blue Bloods can’t finish the truncated S14 by this spring, it will have to be postponed until the following fall.

This is arguably the most dismal scenario, but it may assure that the team can play a full-length season rather than a short one.

So, depending on how long the strike lasts, S14 will air in the spring or fall of 2024. But if it’s delayed that far, they’ll have to air Blue Bloods’ Top 10 Worst Episodes as well to get through the spring season. I’m excited to see those.
