Matheus Pavlak, a 19-year-old bodybuilder from Blumenau, Brazil, has died from an apparent heart att4ck at his home. The news was reported by local outlets Rede Globo and O Estado de Sao Paulo on September 1.
Pavlak was lauded in the bodybuilding community for overcoming obesity as a young teen. Lucas Chegatti, his former coach, posted a moving tribute on Instagram, expressing both sorrow and pride. Chegatti hailed Pavlak as a “spectacular boy” with a promising future, reflecting on their time together and Pavlak’s victory over him in a competition.
Pavlak was active in regional contests and won the U23 contest in 2023. He frequently shared his achievements on social media. In August 2022, he posted a video highlighting his body transformation, encouraging others to pursue their dreams.
The bodybuilding community has been devastated by his unexpected passing. Trainer Eduardo De Oliveira, who also worked with Pavlak, responded to Chegatti’s message, recognizing Pavlak’s dedication and offering his condolences.
