Will Leroy Gibbs ever appear on NCIS again?

As previously stated, having found peace in Alaska for the first time since his family’s d3ath, Gibbs leaves NCIS in search of adventure in the episode “Great Wide Open,” which aired on October 11, 2021 and was watched by 7.66 million US viewers. “This sense of peace, I haven’t had since Shannon and Kelly d1ed, and I’m not ready to let it go,” Gibbs said to Tim McGee before appointing him to lead the office in Season 19. “I couldn’t have asked for a better person to watch my back for the past 18 years than you,” Gibbs told his colleague.
