What is ‘Blue Blood’ star Tom Selleck’s wife most well-known for? Jillie Mack has been in a number of productions.
Tom Selleck is best recognized today for his role as New York Police Commissioner Frank Reagan in the smash primetime series Blue Bloods, which he has been a part of since 2010.
However, before Blue Bloods, Selleck had roles in Magnum, P.I., Three Men and a Baby, Quigley Down Under, Monte Walsh, and other films.
He was (and continues to be) a Hollywood heartthrob. And, despite being 75 years old, the actor shows no signs of slowing down. What about Tom Selleck’s wife, though? Is she also well-known, and if so, for what?
Since 1987, Tom Selleck has been married to Jillie Mack. They have one child, Hanna Margaret Selleck, who is 31 years old. Selleck also has a 54-year-old son from his former marriage to Jacqueline Ray: Kevin Selleck.
Jillie Mack, on the other hand, created a reputation for herself in Hollywood years ago, but she never quite ascended the ladder to the A-list celebrity status Selleck has grown accustomed to.
So, let’s take a look at Jillie Mack’s three most memorable performances.
Jillie Mack portrayed Joanie in the almost-series ‘Silverfox’ in 1991.
Silverfox was an unsold pilot for a television series about a former secret service agent turned government spy who can’t seem to retire. And cases always seem to find their way to his desk.
James Coburn played the lead, and Jillie Mack was scheduled to play one of the female protagonists, Joanie. Unfortunately, the show was never taken up, but the pilot can be found online, as many Selleck-and-family fans have done.
‘Frasier’ featured Jillie Mack.
While Jillie Mack has not established herself as a great movie star, she has appeared in a few prominent television shows. She appeared in the Frasier episode “Police Story.”
The episode follows Frasier as he falls in love with a beautiful cop. Before you know it, Frasier’s friend is planning a means for the two to “accidentally” collide. Meanwhile, Daphne is making a meal for two of her friends, Charlotte (Jillie Mack) and Maggie.
Jillie Mack also made two appearances in ‘Magnum, P.I.’
While Tom Selleck played Magnum, P.I., he did not meet his future wife while filming the show. In 1983, Selleck happened to see Mack in a London performance of Cats.
Mack would later appear as Sally Ponting and English Girl at the Party in two episodes of Magnum P.I. Jillie Mack appears in two episodes: “Professor Jonathan Higgins” and “Rembrandt’s Girl.”
Jillie Mack never quite had her big break on the big screen (or the little screen), but she has appeared in a few productions. She’s also appeared in Hooperman, Fired Up, The Queen’s Nose, ER, The Wizard, and Stephen King’s Golden Tales.
