Blue Bloods fans are showing their loyalty even after the show’s conclusion, sending Tom Selleck’s long-running police drama climbing the Paramount+ charts. As of July 7, FlixPatrol reports the series has risen to #9 in the U.S. and is charting in 25 countries, with an impressive average global ranking of 5.2.
The beloved CBS series premiered in 2010 and followed the Reagan family, a multigenerational law enforcement clan in New York City. Throughout its 14-season, 293-episode run, the show featured a core cast including Tom Selleck, Donnie Wahlberg, Bridget Moynahan, Will Estes and Len Cariou.
Despite steady early ratings, viewership began to dip after Season 7, and CBS confirmed in 2023 that Season 14 would be the last. The finale aired on December 13, 2024.
Fans didn’t have to say goodbye for long. CBS announced in February that a spin-off, Boston Blue, is coming this fall, with Donnie Wahlberg returning as Danny Reagan and serving as an executive producer. The new series follows Danny’s move to the Boston Police Department and stars Sonequa Martin-Green, Ernie Hudson, Maggie Lawson, Gloria Reuben and Marcus Scribner.
Wahlberg recently teased that the spin-off could feature familiar faces from the original series. Because New York and Boston are so close, he hinted that guest appearances-even virtual ones-are very possible. He also emphasized that while Danny is deeply family-oriented, he’s always marched to his own beat, setting the stage for this new chapter.
