Pauley Perrette’s Final NCIS Episode: How Did They Bid Abby Farewell?

After 15 seasons as one of the most adored characters on the TV show NCIS, actress Pauley Perrette announced her departure. On Wednesday, May 8, the star’s final episode as Abby Scuito aired, and it was a difficult goodbye for everyone.

After the previous episode left fans wondering if Abby would be k1ll3d, it was revealed that she was still alive but in critical condition, as several flashbacks from her 15 years with her team were played, including a phone call from none other than Michael Weatherly’s Tony DiNozzo, who left the show back in season 13.

While Perrette’s character was not k1ll3d off, after stating that she would be arranging for Reeves to be buried close to his mother in London, Abby stated, “I’m not coming back.” I’m quitting NCIS. Clay d1ed saving my life, and I owe him a debt that I intend to repay.

Clay had always wanted to start a charity in memory of his mother, and since he is no longer here to do so, I will. I know you might not understand, but it’s something I have to do for me, not only for him.”

“It wasn’t an easy decision,” she said, plainly half in character and half out of character. You are my family, and this is my home, but you must follow your instincts, and my instincts tell me that I must leave.”

Then there was her devastating letter to Gibbs: “Hey, Gibbs. You’re probably wondering what all the fuss is about with the throwback communication.

The truth is that I backed down.I was scared that if you asked me to stay, I would back down since there is nothing I wouldn’t do for you. When things in my life became challenging, you were always there to tell me that everything would be fine. And it’d be because you’d make it okay.

But Gibbs, Reeves is no longer with us, and there is nothing anyone can do about it. Nobody, not even you. Gibbs, I hope you understand how much you mean to me. Every every moment, lesson, and hug. I’m grateful for everything. Whatever we went through throughout the years, there was always one thing I needed to hear from you.”

Perrette claimed she was “worried” for viewers to witness her final show after 15 great seasons.”I’m so worried about you guys for Tuesday’s #GoodbyeAbby episode,” she tweeted. “It’s sad, but I’m hoping, hoping, hoping you’ll all watch.” I want the entire world to watch. I gave you my best effort. And a plethora of flashbacks. Everyone is present. I adore you! Please have everyone watch.”
