‘NCIS Los Angeles’ star Daniela Ruah brings fans to tears with her touching farewell to Kensi Blye

Daniela Ruah sh0cked fans this week with a powerful snap from NCIS LA headquarters as the show enters its final days of production. After 14 action-packed seasons on CBS, popular spin-off NCIS: Los Angeles will end this year.

Millions of viewers were devastated to learn that their favorite characters’ stories would be wrapping up by the summer, and they recently had the opportunity to say goodbye to Kensi Blye (played by Daniela Ruah) thanks to the actress’ touching new Instagram post.

Ruah posted a somber portrait of herself as Kensi on Instagram to say her final goodbyes after playing the character for over a decade.

The actress is seen sleeping on one of NCIS LA’s iconic leather sofas in the black-and-white photo.

“Good night, Kensi,” she wrote in the caption. For 14 years, it’s been an honor to be you.” She also included a Spanish caption and the hashtags “#TheEnd #Fim #ThatsAWrap.”

Her 1.1 million followers were moved by the tribute and took to the comments section to bid farewell to the beloved special agent.

“I can’t wait to see how you wrap up 14 years of one of the most important female characters on TV, but I also don’t want to know because I don’t want to say goodbye,” @jaz.explores responded.

“14 years of giggles, tears, and touchés. Thank you for playing Fern and bringing to life such a wonderful human.”

Kensi was given the nickname Fern by her husband Marty Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen), who will also appear prominently in the final episode of NCIS LA.

“I just don’t get it,” said disappointed fan @sinfullness. Why would they call this show off? It will undoubtedly be missed.”

“This just made me cry a few tears, and we still have some episodes to watch,” @bestofncisla wrote.

“Kensi means a lot to me. She has helped me so much in real life, and it feels as if she is a big sister or a member of my family, which is why it is so difficult.

“Thank you for the last 14 years, and I also can’t wait to see what’s next for you. “With love from France.”

“I know I’ve been sad about the impending end, but I hadn’t really felt it,” @densi.pops.in.la said. But this was the final straw, Dani. Tears are streaming down my cheeks right now!

“Congratulations on 14 years, and thank you for creating a show that introduced me to a dozen or so new friends and launched me on a new career path!”

“While some may say, ‘it’s just a TV show,’ know that it has LITERALLY changed my life!” Thank you for your contribution!”

@maggiesrandomphotography expressed gratitude, saying, “Thank you for being our Kensi!!!”

“She has been and will continue to be a role model for me over the last few years. Thank you so much for making her a reality.”

“Goodbye, Kensi!” added @kimlisa13. It’s crazy to think I’ve known you for half my life.

“Dani, thank you for bringing that badass character to life. I can’t wait to see what your future holds!”

Kensi and Marty’s coworkers G Callen (Chris O’Donnell), Sam Hanna (LL Cool J), and the rest of the team will also be back in the coming weeks before season 14 concludes this spring.
