‘NCIS’: Jimmy Palmer and Agent Knight Make Progress

The most recent NCIS Season 19 episode provides insight into Agent Knight and Palmer’s relationship. Things appear to be heating up between these two. As we approach the NCIS Season 19 finale, here’s what happened last time.

Agent Jessica Knight and Jimmy Palmer are the focus of ‘NCIS’ Season 19 Episode 20.

Agent Jessica Knight (Katrina Law) walks out of the elevator with a handful of mail in NCIS Season 19 Episode 20 (titled “All or Nothing”). McGee (Sean Murray) remarks on the mail and rushes over to pick up a few pieces after Knight drops some of it. He notices she has the photos from her cousin’s wedding. Jimmy Palmer joined her at the celebration (played by Brian Dietzen).

McGee and Torres begin joking around and teasing Knight about how much fun she appears to be having in the photos. They appear to imply that the two are having a romantic relationship. Knight becomes nervous and describes her cousin as “old school,” preferring to send paper photos and thank-you notes.

“It looks like you and Jimmy had a good time,” McGee says. Torres continues to poke fun at Knight despite her claim that the event was “alright.” “I’m not sure,” Torres says. With these big, bright smiles, it’s clear that you had a great time.” (According to the NCIS boss, the Season 19 finale will “push things pretty far.”)

Torres believes Knight and Palmer are a couple.

Torres is well-versed in office romance (played by Wilmer Valderrama). Torres and Bishop were once in a relationship, so it’s not surprising that he’s picking up on some couple vibes. Knight maintains that nothing is wrong, but Torres believes there is more to her story. He believes Knight is withholding some juicy information. However, Knight claims that there is nothing to discuss.

In the following scene, Jimmy asks Knight if she wants to go to a local coffee shop. She says she’d love to and will notify the other team members. However, it was later revealed that Palmer wanted to have coffee with Knight alone. She realizes too late and tries to apologize, but the moment has passed. “Nothing to talk about, huh?” Torres observes their interaction.

Jimmy Palmer and Agent Knight become close.

Later, Jimmy must leave the office to assist with an organ donation program with which he began volunteering after Breena’s d3ath. He offers to transport organs to hospitals as a volunteer. Jimmy expresses concern about driving alone with an organ, so Knight offers to accompany him.

Things start to get strange when Knight and Jimmy arrive at the hospital to pick up the organ from Dr. Scott Long. Dr. Long flirts with Knight when they meet for the pickup. Jimmy clearly does not appreciate the doctor’s undivided attention. (After just one episode, fans couldn’t get enough of Jimmy Palmer.)

Later, Jimmy and Knight discuss spending time together. He mentions that the car ride will provide them with “ample time” to talk. This is sounding more like a date than an organ pickup. Unfortunately, they will not have the time they desired because Dr. Long joins them on the ride. He claims that hospital protocol requires a hospital liaison to accompany the organ during transport. Jimmy appears disappointed, especially after Dr. Long expresses a desire to sit in the front seat.

Unfortunately, Knight drifts off the road, and someone fires at the car. Dr. Long is shot and k1lled, but Knight and Jimmy manage to flee. During Knight’s struggle with a shooter, Jimmy is shot in the leg. They are able to reach an empty cabin where Knight can assist him.

Jimmy admits that he has feelings for Knight. She admits she likes him as well, but he’s one of her closest friends, and she doesn’t want to jeopardize that. Jimmy claims that no matter what happens between them, they will always be friends.

Knight appears to have a change of heart at the end of the episode. She accepts Jimmy’s invitation to go out for coffee just the two of them. These two appear to be on the verge of falling in love.
