Charity Pierce, who appeared on Season 3 of My 600-lb Life, has died at age 50.
According to reports, Pierce had been in hospice care for about a month before her passing Tuesday. She was dealing with serious medical issues, including lymphedema and fluid buildup in her lungs. Her daughter, Charly Jo, confirmed the news in an emotional social media post, saying her mother was “finally at peace.”
Pierce first appeared on the TLC series in 2015, when she weighed 778 pounds at age 39. During follow-up episodes, she shared her journey through gastric surgery and multiple skin-removal procedures in an effort to improve her health.
Her path, however, was filled with complications. Pierce openly discussed struggling with infections, hospitalizations, and the emotional toll of her physical changes. She often spoke about feeling isolated and embarrassed, while continuing to push forward in hopes of a better life.
In recent years, she reportedly faced additional health challenges, including a kidney cancer diagnosis that required surgery.

Pierce’s story touched many viewers who followed her difficult but determined journey. She is remembered by loved ones and fans who witnessed her strength through years of health battles.
